Emmy Guthrie threw a gem on Monday to lead Lady Horns past Byng 9-0 with the rarest of softball moments: The Perfect Game. The Lady Horns secured the victory thanks to five runs in the third inning. Chloe Pender, Chloe Yeatts, Paige Anderson, and Noa Dodson all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. Guthrie was credited with the victory for Lady Horns. She lasted seven innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out 12 and walking zero. Feazle took the loss for Byng. She allowed 15 hits and nine runs over six innings, striking out two and walking one. The Lady Horns racked up 15 hits in the game. Anderson, Pender, Lexi Meadows, and Logan Ketchum all managed multiple hits for the Lady Horns. Pender and Anderson each collected three hits to lead Lone Grove. The Lady Horns was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error.
